Summer Camps


YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh camps provide an excellent setting for your child to build friendships and to grow, learn and play. Camping activities include swimming, field trips, arts and crafts, and healthy active play. YMCA staff is well-trained, certified in safety procedures like CPR and First Aid and committed to delivering a quality program, you can be sure that your child is safe and happy!

Overnight Camps


The YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh is extremely fortunate to have two award-winning residence camps within our Association. Overnight camping is available at these camps and through a number of our YMCA programs including Parent-Child Programs and other group field trips.

Family Camps


Deer Valley is the perfect setting for a total family camping experience in any season. From summer vacations to family reunions, our staff does everything we can to provide a wholesome family experience. We work hard to develop programs and activities that help our campers grow in spirit, mind, and body during their stay at camp.

Special Needs Camping


The YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh is one of the leading providers of camps for exceptional and special needs populations. We offer programs for children and adults in day and resident camp formats. Our high staff to camper ratio in these programs ensures that campers recieve personal attention, and have a safe experience.  Children who participate in these YMCA camps benefit in the following developmental areas:

  • Maintain intellectual and gross motor skills attained during the school year
  • Have new experiences in self-help skills
  • Have opportunities to develop new fine and gross motor skills
  • Have opportunities for campers to learn new socialization skills
  • Develop positive attitudes through a supportive environment
  • Have the opportunity to achieve at least one goal independently
